In order to participate in the lottery, all faculty eligible to purchase a University Terrace home must complete and submit a registration form (interest list application) and participate in an Open House. Faculty couples with dual eligibility may apply individually. Lottery participants who have reserved a single-family home are not eligible to participate in the lottery. Lottery participants who have reserved a condominium home are eligible to participate in the lottery if they are interested in a larger home. All participants will be notified after the interest list application has been submitted and will receive a unique identifier. Interest List submissions are neither a guarantee of eligibility nor qualification to purchase. No priority will be given based on the timing of the submission. All entries will be verified by FSH and eligible participants will be notified when their application has been accepted. Applicants may withdraw from consideration prior to the lottery.

The Office of the Provost, Faculty Staff Housing (FSH) continues to offer on- and off- campus ground-leased homes for purchase via lottery. Periodically, homes are listed for Direct Sale when not sold via lottery or otherwise.

12/2/2019 - TBD*: Purchase Offer Packet submission period opens 10am

* This schedule is subject to change and is contingent upon the acceptance of a Purchase Offer Packet.

Direct Sale Homes are offered on a “first come first served” basis to Eligible Faculty who:
  • Satisfy all of the Eligibility Criteria for the Direct Sale home; and
  • "Submit an Offer" for the home as outlined in the Roadmap to Homeownership under the Purchase dropdown for Condominium Home and Single Family Home.; and
  • "Complete the Purchase" of the home, as outlined in the Roadmap to Homeownership under the Purchase dropdown on the top navigation bar for Condominium Home and Single Family Home..

Eligible Faculty may reserve only one University Terrace home at a time. Eligible Faculty who have a reservation or a contract on a FSH single family home are not eligible to participate in a Direct Sale or Lottery Sale for another FSH home. This does not apply to those who have a reservation or a contract on a FSH condominium home. ( Updated November 5, 2019 )
